AGEWELL FOUNDATION AT UNITED NATIONS ECOSOC HIGH LEVEL SEGMENT DURING  2012 ANNUAL MINISTERIAL REVIEW  Being in Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC at United Nations , Agewell Foundation has been invited to participate in   2012 ECOSOC High Level Segment, starting from  2 nd  July  to  9 th  July 2012   at  United Nations Headquarters  in  New York, USA . Impact on gainful engagement opportunities in Old Age ·                When asked about gainful occupation in old age, it was found that 34210 elderly persons were involved in gainful activities. Majority of older persons (65.8%) were not gainfully engaged anywhere. ·                45.76% elderly men & 24.34% elderly women were engaged in gainful activities.
